I don't get this...

Of course the Muppets are commies and all that. They always have been. So what? Where's the harm in having competing philosophies show up in children's entertainment?

I heard there's tons of footage that never made it into the final cut of the film. Evidently there was a lot of "studio" and "other" interference that might explain why the movie is so inconsistent in quality.
