Are you kidding? Have you looked at any of the reviews in this thread?
Man, I love Statham, but he's never worked with someone like Refn before and Ryan Gosling is a much, much better actor anyway.
That's fine. I'll go see it by myself 5 times.
Ok, has not anything that has happened with our watching The Guard last week taught you anything? That movie is like 94% on RT and I HATED IT. Toy Story 3 is 99% and I hate that movie too. I could care less about reviews at this point. The idea of some wheelman falling in love with a helpless single mother and having to save her ass from the proverbial bad guys does not interest me in the least. I believe that there is some scientific certainty in saying that if you like a movie or want to watch it, there's at least a 65% chance I'll hate it and think it's an overrated piece of crap.
If I want to watch something dripping with masculinity, I'll go back to watching Orange County Choppers: Senior vs Junior.
It's official: I Give Up
It's going to be amazing. A pox on anyone who says otherwise! A pox!

REVIEW: Ryan Gosling Is the Goslingest in Superb, '70s-Inflected Drive | Movieline
Seeing this tomorrow with my dad. SO EXCITED.Drive could have been the best drive-in feature of 1975. As it is, it’s likely to be the best action movie of 2011. Refn hasn’t invented a new language; it’s just that he uses the vocabulary so well — he’s got the right tools and the right touch. The movie’s newness is, paradoxically, intertwined with an appreciation for the past. Drive is a picture retooled from vintage parts, proof that you can build them like they used to.
