Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. The great Bruce Campbell recently revealed on his Twitter page that he'll be reteaming once again with Mr. Sam Raimi in his next picture, Oz: The Great and Powerful. Along with a Behind the Scenes Picture from Evil Dead 2 (Hey, that's my job, Bub!) he put this statement out there:

"I. Am. In. Oz. Sam Raimi refuses to tell me what character I will portray. Just know that the role is PIVOTAL."

Tiny role or starring, it's always great to see those two team up, especially with such a good cast Raimi already has in his Wizard of Oz prequel... Mila Kunis, James Franco, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz et al.

Now let's all go spam Bruce's twitter feed with Evil Dead 4 questions!

The books and overall story are in the public domain. What WB owns is the style, likenesses, and overall story of the movie. Things like the ruby slippers, songs, and other elements created by WB for that movie are still owned by the studio. These newer movies will have to be made using only elements from the book and whatever new elements they dream up. Don't expect these movies to look anything like the Oz you grew up with because the book and the movie are very different.

Gilliam Turned Down Offer To Remake The Wizard Of Oz Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors

News broke last year that Robert Zemeckis had been offered and turned down a remake of MGM’s film version of The Wizard of Oz. Well, second verse same as the first, Gilliam has just told his elite Big Screen audience that he too turned the project down. Why? Because Fleming’s film was fine.

And the bad films that could use a remake? He doesn’t know what they are because he “probably never watched them.”

Wow...thoughts of what could have been if Gilliam had been turned loose on an OZ film.

Makes sense.

Anybody here seen the scifi Tin Man series that came out yeats ago. I have it somewhere, but still haven't gotten around to it. :/

I saw it, yeah. It was pretty alright. Not anything special, but entertaining enough.
