While all of the movie have been released on Blu-ray before and these discs will have all the same special features, it’s still nice to have them all in one place. Hit the jump for the press release, and to check out the Mondo-designed box art. Tarantino XX: 8-Film Collection is due out November 20th. I'm always excited about a new Tarantino movie but I got to stop and ask myself why since I haven't really loved anything of his since Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs and those were 20 years ago. Kill Bill and Inglorious Basterds were good (not great), I didn't care much for the Grindhouse ones and I can't even remember Jackie Brown. Still, I'm always excited about a new movie from him. I guess I just love Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs that much.

You should watch it again, it is criminally underrated. I did not like it much at first myself but repeated viewings have made me do a 180. A bit of a departure for him, but a really good movie with some terrific performances. You just can't go into it expecting a typical Tarantino action flick. I think that's the biggest problem with it - unmet expectations.

I've been meaning to, it's just that the running time has put me off a bit. It's gonna happen eventually though... I mean I watched The Godfather Part II today, Jackie Brown would probably be over before Part II even hit the third act

See, therein lies the rub...the people that seem to hate Tarentino the most are the people that like him. It's like his movies can never live up to the hype. Granted, he's as much to blame for the hype as anyone else. S'funny...I feel like you need to see one of his movies at least twice before you form an opinion. I remember being so dissapointed w/Kill Bill 2 simply because it was such a wicked left turn from the showy almost anime first one. But, repeated viewings really have solidified that movie for me. It's a different animal. Like all of his movies. I honestly do not feel he has made a bad movie...ever. But different strokes.
