Here Tarantino explains how Corbucci’s movies — including “Django,” which lent its name to Tarantino’s title character — became the inspiration for his own spaghetti southern.

What's Katt going to do, pull up a chair to stand on?

I like Katt Williams...but he's crazy. QT ought to take that threat seriously if you follow KW's legal issues of late. And Santi...dontcha know, you NEVER pick a fight with a fidget. It will NOT end well. Spike Lee has been shouting to no one lately too. Look, first off, who voted Spike Lee the arbiter of all things black? How about you concentrate on being relevant...or even noticed. I saw the movie and yes, the word is used A LOT! By white people. Most of which end up with a bullet(or 40) in them...so there's that. But to deny that it is valid language in a movie about slavery is ridiculous. And to say that a white directed movie that does not glorify the word, is less valid than a black directed movie with ample use of the word(and let's face it...sometimes the word is glorified in these movies) is friggin ridiculous and RACIST. Is Katt Williams also going to threaten Mel Brooks? Get over it. It is a word. No more offensive than f***, f****t, or some of the other words that both of these well informed gentlemen are guilty of using. The sense of outrage is silly and actually brings more credibility to the word than anything QT could have done.

    *SPOILER ALERT*

I really liked Django Unchained. It's a good sign when you're saying, "Oh my God!" during the opening credits, which I did when I read Dennis Christopher, and then James Remar, forever and fondly a Cutter and a Warrior to me. I said it again when Jonah Hill showed up, and I was glad his part was small because anything more would have been distracting. As always, Christoph Waltz couldn't possibly have been any better. When he asked for a pen and signed the sale papers, I was fully expecting him to stab DiCaprio in the neck with it, but I suppose a pistol up the sleeve was more appropriate. I could blabber on about him all day, but I'll spare everyone by just saying that watching him in the opening scene alone was worth the price of admission to me.

And I refuse to listen to one more word out of Katt Williams until he goes to rehab and/or a mental treatment facility. If not, I think he'll find his way to prison or a morgue sometime in the near future.
