Brad Pitt Says Inglourious Basterds Part 2 Could Happen

“[Tarantino] said it would never be explained in [Inglourious Basterds] and if he ever does what he called a prequel-slash-sequel, then we’ll reveal it then,” he told Fresh Air. “He talks about [a sequel], but he’s got several things percolating at once.”
Tarantino? Talking about a movie he'll never get around to???? NO!

Kurt Russell Is Quentin Tarantino’s Plan B Again, Replaces Kevin Costner In ‘Django Unchained’ > The Playlist

It’s a pretty solid choice, all in all. It perhaps loses some of the subversiveness of Costner in the role, but Russell will undoubtedly do a good job. And he’s not the only one who’s come on board the project; The Hollywood Reporter brings news that Laura Cayouette, who had a bit part in “Kill Bill Volume Two,” has signed on to play Candie’s sister, Lara-Lee, in the film. When we read the script we suggested Christina Hendricks for the part, and it seems we weren’t a million miles away. Or at least we ticked the ‘redhead’ box. The pair join DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L Jackson, Gerald McRaney, Dennis Christopher and, it seems, Michael K. Williams, in the film, which The Weinstein Company will release on December 25th, 2012.

Pam Grier on Jackie Brown, Quentin Tarantino, and Her Reign as the Queen of '70s Action Cinema | Movieline

Speaking of fun, part of your legend has it that you once punched a journalist in the junk during an interview. True or false?
Grier: Well actually, he wrote that but he exaggerated. I did not. Because if I had really punched him, he wouldn’t be walking.
    Good read.

Lars Ulrich Regrets Turning Down Quentin Tarantino’s Request For Metallica On ‘Kill Bill’ Soundtrack > The Playlist

In a column penned for The Daily Beast, Metallica drummer and notorious internet hater Lars Ulrich reveals that at one point, he was approached by Quentin Tarantino as the director was gearing up “Kill Bill,” with a request to use “Enter Sandman” and “Sad But True” for two fight sequences in the film. Obviously, that never came to pass—and really, it sounds like a kinda super dorky idea in the first place—and QT put together the great soundtrack we now know and love that spans everything from Johnny Cash to Ennio Morricone to Isaac Hayes to Nancy Sinatra to RZA. But it’s a pretty candid account from Ulrich who now realizes he probably should have known better. Excerpt below:
    Dumbass.

I'm really glad those songs didn't end up in the film, though.

Anthony LaPaglia Joins ‘Django Unchained,’ He & Joseph Gordon-Levitt Will Play Australian Brothers > The Playlist

Deadline reports that Anthony LaPaglia will join him as the leader Jano with the actor saying that he and JGL will play “mean brothers.” “It’s wildly ambitious and imaginative, deals with that subject matter in a way it hasn’t been dealt with before,” LaPaglia said.

In the script we read, these are some pretty small parts. They’re only on the screen for 12 pages, but they participate in a comedic and crucial key scene near the end of the movie. Have the roles been beefed up during rewrites? Perhaps. Or maybe these two are just taking the opportunity to play in Tarantino’s yard, which is just as likely. There is also one more Aussie brother in the script, which we presume is yet to be cast.
