There was nothing left to do with Brody. His time was up. Good season.

Not sure it was a good season. Maybe now, unfettered by a character they should have killed at the end of s1, we will get a chance to see what kind of show it can be. Dunno though...while it had flashes of pure spy/politics stuff this season, is that going to make for a compelling show? And how do you fit Danes' twitchy mess into that. I really don't want to see 'my Mommy the spy'. And where does Saul fit in? I really hope they keep Quinn. I think there is a LOT of story in that character that they teased and just sort of forgot about. I would say it was a mixed bag season at best. It will never reach the heights of s1 and if they wanted to reboot the show there was plenty of 'finale' on display for the current set of characters. Would you watch if they started from scratch with a new cast/set of characters/storyline?

This coming from a person that thought s2 of ahs was brilliant. Lol, sorry couldn't resist. Seriously, it is called homeland. New threats arise everyday. Time to move on.

And your opinion comes from someone who apparently thinks it wasn't...what difference does that make?
I tend to not keep score on unrelated opinions. Why the shot man???

And yes, other cases come along...BUT that isn't what this show established. So I question if/whether they can transition into that. And if the audience will hang in. The show kinda put all it's eggs into the Brody basket and they had to do some less than stellar tapdancing to extract themselves. The escape from the embassy was an example of the loose logic and convenient plotting this show has undermined it's credibility with. If they want to all of a sudden become a tightly plotted spy show, they need to clean that up. It was at times a good season, but there were a LOT of eye rolling moments.

I would watch the **** out of Homeland if it was just Quinn and Saul running operations and being awesome together and Carrie popping in every now and then to do something brilliant, while also no longer being pregnant. I am so not here for the baby storyline. And this show needs more Quinn. Seriously.

who am I kidding? I'd still religiously hate-watch this show no matter what.
