Seeing the opening @ SDCC got me all...wait for it...Jaxxed up for it!
Been rewatching from the beginning...season 1, wow. So much backstory/mythology laid out. And now, season 2. And the **** I was dreading, Gemma's rape. I remember being so 'hurt' by this that I couldn't watch for 3 weeks. Just brutal. Henry Rollins...never better. This show and the acting and writing are so good, yet the Emmys do not see fit to honor them. Maybe cause Sutter fired off, but they need to get over it. By the way, he was right to be pissed off.
Didn't realize that the chick from Alcatraz played Zobel's **** of a daughter. Now I am glad that show bought it. Bitch.

I stand by my original assessment that season 2 was the high water mark of Sons. The friction between Clay/Jax, all the Caracara stuff, Unser & Gemma...I got to the episode where Gemma reveals her secret to bring the two back together and it's just some damned powerful stuff. Almost harder to watch the second time just because it's so well played by all and just moving as hell. The second viewing gives perspective too. It was so easy to side with Jax...he always seemed to be on the right side of things. But I saw another side...Jax is a hothead, and a pouter of world class proportions. Still right...just sayin.
Clay looking awful...Piney. I got a bad feeling we are gonna lose someone this season. Almost feels like we gotta.

Don't know how hilarious they are...
Deep into season 3 right now, the Irish season...and so far, it's better than I remember it being. Gemma on the lam is brilliant, Stahl was tops...seriously the best bad guy the show had. I know half sack asked to be written off the show but Deputy Chief Hale's exit felt weird at the time and feels even odder the second time. I never read about the actor wanting out so I wonder if Sutter did it to shock the system. May have to tweet him that question because I have never seen it addressed. Oh, and the Stephen King cameo as Bachman the cleaner was indulgent and brilliant at the same time. Nicely done.
