Good set up episode. Clearly Clay is consumed by his mortality. The biggest betrayal, promising the indians that they 'had his word' and his word was worth nothing. I have always loved Bobby and his unhappiness has reinforced that. Him and Opie are the soul of the club. Nice subplots for Juice & Happy too. Good to see some of the 'little guys' getting some love.

Ok all sorts of SHIELD easter eggs. Besides Ronnie/Lem/Acevada being on the show, you could tell the 'French mama' part was written for CCH Pounder. And I am pretty sure one of the 'ballers/gun robbers called Lem LEMONHEAD. Good episode, but the Tara angst is a little tired, and she's not a tremendous actress.

Wow. Nobody talking about Sons huh? I just got caught up on the past 3 episodes. Whatsa matter Sons fans...don't like the fact that EVERYONE is at heart a bad person on this show? Even Jax...the moral center, allowed his beliefs to be comprimised to get what he wanted. Bobby, who vehemently opposes the muling, not only boned Otto's wife he lied to his face about killing those responsible. Clay, well it would seem that he will need to kill everyone to keep his now exposed secret. These are outlaws people. You liked em as long as they weren't too bad, but now that the wizard has let you behind the curtain it seems that folks are a little off-put. The only one who seems to be struggling to stay on the right side of things is Unser. The 'love-of-your-life' line that Clay through at him was pretty telling too.

As far as the new folks, the DA is annoying. Trying to be too Twin Peaks quirky. Can't look at Benito Martinez without seeing Aceveda. Danny Trejo hasn't been given much to do, so far. Rockmond Dunbar is ok as the new sheriff, that storyline...with his wife, and the 'Juice' situation should pay off nicely. I forget if it was ever mentioned early on but what exactly did Otto do to get put behind bars? Would like to see that at some point.

    So Sons fans...what say you?

I'm having great fun watching this season. Pretty intense episode, this past one. I can't help but think that things are going to continue to escalate each week.
I'm not off-put by the morally flawed characters at all, I was just waiting to see if anyone was still watching the show. It was amusing to see a gang of d-bags give Forrest Griffin a hard time on twitter for mentioning that he enjoyed the show, but of course who follows Forrest on twitter? A gang of d-bags mostly.

Juice is def not out of the forest on this one, I think he tipped his hand enough that Chibs has him figured out. Funny you mentioned the Otto thing. I was just trying to remember if they ever told us his original crime (that he keeps adding time to for the club).

Pretty sure it was mentioned early on, but only in passing. Knowing Sutter it probably figures into the JT death somewhat...who knows. As far as Juice, it's great to see him getting more than just the 'comic relief' role, but, is it just me or does he look a little 'darker' than he has in the past? Like they are going heavier on the make-up in order to make folks buy into it? And, btw...Forrest Griffin is probably kissing Sutters ass a little bit since he was part of giving him some of his best work on The Shield.

2nd degree murder and car theft. I don't think there are any more details about it.

I have stopped talking about it only because I have been too busy to keep up with the show. And I am without a DVR so I am pretty screwed on keeping up. Oh well.

You are right, jd, they are not nice people. I read an article that Sutter wanted to go this way all along this season. Just not sure where it all ends up.

Yeah...sorry brother. Whoever invented tivo/dvr should be a candidate for sainthood. Life can never be the same again. Don't know where it ends up but it ain't looking rosie for the boys of Charming(cue Dukes of Hazzard music sting)

FX Orders Season 5 of SONS OF ANARCHY

    NOBODY MESSES WITH SAMCRO

FX Orders Fifth Season of Its Acclaimed Hit Drama Sons of Anarchy

Series is Basic Cable’s #1 Scripted Drama Series Among Adults 18-49 and

    FX’s Highest-Rated Series Ever

7 All New Episodes Remain This Season Airing Tuesdays at 10 PM ET/PT

With Season Four Finale Airing November 29

LOS ANGELES, October 17, 2011 – FX has ordered a 13 episode fifth season of its critically acclaimed hit drama Sons of Anarchy, from Fox 21 and FX Productions, announced John Landgraf, President and General Manager, FX Networks.

Starring Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman and Golden GlobeŽ Award winner Katey Sagal, Sons of Anarchy is having its best season yet from a ratings standpoint. It’s currently the #1 scripted drama series in all of basic cable, and is the highest-rated series ever on FX. On a first-run basis, season four is averaging 5.8 million Total Viewers and 3.9 million Adults 18-49, increases of +30% and +26%, respectively, vs. season three. On a multi-telecast weekly basis, season four is averaging 9 million Total Viewers and 6 million Adults 18-49.

The series has shown remarkable consistency week-to-week. The premiere episode of season four (9/6/11) was the most-watched program in FX history, with 6.5 million Total Viewers. Last week’s episode (episode 6, 10/11/11) was the highest-rated episode in the past four weeks (Live + Same Day).

“Everyone at FX is very grateful to Kurt Sutter, his many writing, directing and producing collaborators and his masterful cast for making such a compelling and beautifully crafted show,” said Landgraf. “It is no small challenge to bring the themes of a great, ancient play like Hamlet into a wholly original television setting and to tell this complex story in a way that is both riveting and accessible to a broad audience. The fans know how beautifully SOA meets this challenge, and we thank them for their loyal and passionate viewership.”

Seven all-new episodes remain in SOA’s current fourth season airing Tuesdays at 10pm ET/PT. In the next episode of Sons of Anarchy (“Fruit for the Crows,” October 18, 10PM ET/PT), SAMCRO deals with the fallout from a death threat made against Tara.

Sons of Anarchy was created by Kurt Sutter who also serves as Executive Producer along with John Linson, Art Linson and Paris Barclay. The series is produced by FX Productions and Fox 21. Fox 21 is Twentieth Century Fox Television’s alternative production arm devoted to producing high quality programming on a lower cost basis.

FX is the flagship general entertainment basic cable network from Fox. Launched in June of 1994, FX is carried in more than 98 million homes. The diverse schedule includes a growing roster of distinctive original series and films, an established film library with box-office hit movies from 20th Century Fox and other major studios that run in prime time and an impressive lineup of acquired hit series.
