Did anybody watch Under the Dome?

I did and enjoyed it. I am certainly intrigued to see where the story is headed.

And no, I haven't read the novel, so I don't have the book to compare it to. :/

But hey, haha, if all those poseurs watch the Game of Throne series without reading the book, I can watch Under the Dome too.

They changed quite a bit around from the book, so it allows for some surprises (and hopefully a different ending). I thought the first episode did a pretty good job of having a lot of things happen and introducing a good number of characters without making it too confusing. And the cow was a nice touch.

I dunno. UtD was very tv-y. After enjoying things on HBO and the higher quality 'boutique' networks(AMC/FX/etc) that cheap network look just doesn't cut it anymore. Seeing a ton of actors from those shows(Big Jim from Breaking Bad, the deputy from Bates Motel, Hoyt's mom from True Blood, the fake voodoo priestess from True Blood etc) it doesn't help to distance you from it. It was ok, but just felt cheap. Definitely different from the book.

Ugh that's what I was worried about. I loathe when networks recycle actors!! On FX or HBO this probably would hve been kickass

See, since I haven't seen any of those shows, I didn't recognize any of the actors. :P

Well except that sheriff guy with the bad ticker since he came out in Machete.

I'd be surprised if I watch the entire series since I am notorious for watching an episode or two and then not keeping up. Maybe, haha, I have commitment issues.

What has ruined me are dvd sets of shows. If I can't watch an entire season in a few days, I get restless, and lose interest. Speaking of which did anybody watch the Bag of Bones tv thing? I saw the dvd at the library the other day, and I should've gotten it, I mean how bad could it be?

Crazy Heart was good, but dunno how good that director would be for The Stand.

I still think they should've gotten that dude who directed the last few Potter films. Seemed like the most logical choice for WB.

    Who knows.
