NBC Sweeps Ratings -- Finshes Last For First Time And Behind Univision
Wow. We are watching the death of network tv possibly. If NBC had any stones they would hire away the head of Fx(please don't by the way) and re-invent the whole thing. There is a position of strength in having absolutely nothing to lose. Challenge the censors...give the viewers what they are clearly looking for elsewhere...LONG LIVE THE NEW FLESH...oh, sorry. Got a wee bit carried away there.

Gotta give SNL credit, grudgingly. They seem to be more interested in getting guest hosts that enhance the program other than their past few years where anyone hawking something was welcomed aboard.
anyone catch Anthony Jeselnik's new show on comedy central? The telling cancer jokes to cancer patients was pretty funny, but overall didn't blow me away. His standup is much, much better.

Really, though, I think Parks is going to be the only watchable show on that channel next year, after they cancel Community and pending what happens with Revolution. Their network is in the toilet because of horrible short sighted oversaturization like the Briefcase and Leno and their decision to abandon their position as the upscale network to target the lowest common denominator.
A good new show can be hit or miss whether it finds an audience, but an awful new show is DOA 99% of the time, and NBC has been picking nothing but crap lately. Nothing But Crap. NBC.
The scary thing is the ratings are so uniformly bad across the board that I don't know how they decide what to cancel because they can't cancel everything. Production costs?Quote:
