just watched the Under the Dome finale. So they channeled their inner Signs, Contact and The Stand.

I was thinking precisely "well, here go again Lost-style."

Watched "Dads" last night. Thought it was decent for a pilot. The cast was good so they just need to decide on a direction (office stuff? Dad stuff? Family stuff?) and go with it.

Ok, so Dads was verrrrrrrry sitcom-y, setup-punchline-commercial. Maybe it's cause I like the cast, but I actually laughed a few times. Line of the night, 'My Dad can clear his throat through the first 50 minutes of a 90 minute movie'.

Brooklyn 99 was good. Kinda odd though. A little OFFICE-y and not a traditional comedy. The subplot with Andre Braugher's character being gay was a little shoehorned, but I kinda like this show so far.

I think Brooklyn has a future, I think Dads will maybe get a move, and eventually a cancellation. 8pm was a weird start time.

Watching Boon from Animal House play a crotchety old man was depressing for me.

I agree that Brooklyn 99 was odd, but in a good way for me. Andy Samberg was surprisingly reined in for a character that could have been stupidly over the top, so I was pleasantly surprised. I hope it gets a chance.

Agree completely. Still, nice to see Peter Riegert getting work. Is Martin Mull what? 100 years old by now. I like the supporting cast on Brooklyn. Terry Crewes is terribly underrated as far as his comedy chops, and Joe LoTruglio is NEVER bad. I think a few episodes in they will catch a groove but the premiere was a little uneven.

Brooklyn is on my DVR so I'll probably get to it on the weekend (why couldn't GTA V come out in June?), but Terry Crewes was the best thing about Everybody Hates Chris, and there were plenty of good things about that show. Wrapping up yesterday's SAMCRO now and then it is back to Los Santos.

Sleepy Hollow was strangely watchable. The lead had a cut-rate Cumberbatchity to him. Odd that they would SPOILERS have some star power that was used as cannon fodder(Harold, Clancy Brown) and just as weird that they used a comic actor(Orlando Jones) for a serious part but there is a bit to like here. Lots of mythology already offered up and although it looks like they are going to go to a 'monster-of-the-week' format like Grimm, unlike Grimm they have peppered in enough personality and potential diversity that I actually have hopes for this show. And the Horseman with a shotgun was pretty cool, sorry it just was.

jerseydevil did you really just use the term Cumberbatchity?
