Ok, so here's my top 10 movies, quick and dirty.
10) Ted
9) Skyfall
8) Chronicle
7) The Raid: Redemption
6) Dredd
5) Django Unchained
4) Cabin In The Woods
3) Avengers
2) Looper
1) The Dark Knight Rises
If we were going to 13, I'd add Haywire, John Carter and The Hobbit.
I feel like my watching of movies in the theater probably hit an all time low this year and I feel like this list kind of sucks because of it. But there it is.

Forgot about TED...damn, gotta revise the list. And after seeing GOON twice in the last 2 nights, I have to maybe move that one into official position in the top 10. Man what a great HOCKEY movie and a real good performance from Sean William Scott and Liev Schrieber. And potential line of the year in 'Two rules, man: Stay away from my ****in' percocets and do you have any ****ing percocets, man?' with that same character using the term 'pass the duchy' in the same movie.

Moonrise Kingdom
The Cabin in the Woods
Les Misérables

Hm. I did this quick and dirty, and I'm shocked it came out like that.
Five that dashed my lofty expectations:
Cosmopolis
The Hobbit
Prometheus
Cloud Atlas
Lawless
Ten most pleasant surprises:
Life of Pi
Moonrise Kingdom
The Cabin in the Woods

Three Stooges was a nice little surprise weren't it? Soooo dopey that you couldn't help but giggle. I was charmed by it's stoopidity.

These lists show that even with all the crap out there, there are still plenty of great movies being made. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to see many this year.
