Like I said, SPLICE was flawed...but it was a smart ORIGINAL combo of the Frankenstein story mixed with genetic 'tinkering'. DBAOTD was such a horrible misfire. The original was so clever for such a low budge tv flick. GDT had the right idea but the execution was hideous. Clearly it was a 'less is more' kinda thing and despite the terrific opening GDT's version tried to capture the small scale HORROR that the original did so well but his BIG-SCALE movie just exposed all of the flaws that the little-movie-that-could had. He brought a child in and made her the focal point, and it just changed the whole point of view. It BROKE MY HEART.Quote:
