I watched World's End and thought it was pretty good but a tad disappointing. The weakest of the trilogy in my opinion.

Maybe...but that's like being the lesser of supermodel triplets. Watch it a few extra times...ALL these movies improve on repeated viewings. You may change your mind.

Oh it's by no means bad and I'll definitely get around to watching it again some day. But as you say, it's got pretty stiff competition so saying it's the weakest might not say very much. Shaun is untouchable and Hot Fuzz is pretty damn good too.

Lake Bell To Star In Rom-Com 'Man Up' Opposite Simon Pegg; 'Inbetweeners' Ben Palmer To Direct - Deadline.com

The romantic comedy centers on single gal Nancy (Bell), who’s mistaken for a stranger’s blind date en route to her parents’ anniversary, leading to her finally finding the perfect boyfriend. Tess Morris penned the script which made the 2011 Brit List, a UK-centric riff on the Black List. Pegg and Nira Park will produce Man Up for their Big Talk banner (Shaun of the Dead, Attack the Block) and have set British TV and film helmer Ben Palmer (The Inbetweeners, The Inbetweeners Movie) to direct. Filming begins in January.

Simon Pegg Seems Set To Take Over From Benedict Cumberbatch In Monty Python-Powered Sci-Fi Movie

The good news: Simon Pegg is in for Terry Jones’ long-gestating animated comedy Absolutely Anything. The bad news, Benedict Cumberbatch may be out.

The Monty Python-tinged voice ensemble includes Jones himself, as well as John Cleese, Terry Gilliam and Michael Palin, along with Gemma Arterton and Robin Williams.

While Cumberbatch is no longer mentioned , Screen Daily reports Pegg is now set for the lead role of a teacher who suddenly discovers he has magical powers bestowed upon him by aliens.

And Pegg seems super stoked about it:

As someone whose love of comedy was hugely informed by Monty Python, the chance to work with Terry was a gift. Meeting your heroes is one thing – working with them is something else.

HECTOR AND THE SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS Trailer. HECTOR AND THE SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS Stars Simon Pegg | Collider

We here at Collider are very happy to exclusively debut the first trailer for director Peter Chelsom’s upcoming drama/comedy Hector and the Search for Happiness. Based on the book of the same name by François Lelord, the film stars Simon Pegg as the titular Hector, an eccentric psychiatrist who’s going nowhere and whose patients aren’t getting any happier. One day, he musters up the courage to set out on a quest to find out if happiness really exists. The pic looks to be an excellent showcase of Pegg’s comedic sensibilities while also touching on some promising dramatic themes as well, and it’s bolstered by an incredibly solid ensemble cast.

Hit the jump to watch the trailer and to check out a couple of new images. The film also stars Rosamund Pike, Christopher Plummer, Toni Collette, Stellan Skarsgard, and Jean Reno. Hector and the Search for Happiness opens in the U.K. this Autumn.
