Paddy Considine Finds a Place at The World's End | Horror Movie, DVD, & Book Reviews, News, Interviews at Dread Central

More casting news is coming in for the latest film in a trilogy of comedies from Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright that started with Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, entitled The World's End. Read on for details.

According to Variety, Paddy Considine (pictured) is set to reteam with his Hot Fuzz co-stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost for Wright's latest flick. Considine will play a former ladies' man and musician who has grown up to be a divorced architect.

He joins the previously announced Rosamund Pike (Doom, Wrath of the Titans, Die Another Day), Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Edgar Wright directs the film.

    Synopsis
20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell-bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.
    Cool beans.

Martin Freeman And Eddie Marsan Join Edgar Wright’s The World’s End | Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors

Five of the lead characters of The World’s End are a group of friends, aged around 40 and re-attempting a pub crawl that they somehow botched as younger men. Doesn’t sound too dramatic, but it’s not just any pub crawl – it’s happening while the world is ending.

While nothing has been clarified, this apocalypse seems to be the fault of aliens. Perhaps.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are playing two of the friends, Gary King and Andy Knight, and Paddy Considine was named as the third a couple of weeks back. Now we have the names of the other two – and it’s The Hobbit Hobbit Martin Freeman, and Snow White and The Huntsman dwarf Eddie Marsan. That’s a really ****ing impressive line-up, if you’ll excuse my French.
    Couldn't agree more.

Sophie Evans, Rose Reynolds And Samantha White Head To The World’s End | Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors

Well, the M is likely Mermaid, right? Sisters? Are they a band? At least Evans can sing, maybe they all can, or play.

And being a “love interest” suggests a meaningful part, though to be honest, these could be utterly tiny roles for all we know. Or they could be quite significant.

    Loves me some Nick Frost

CUBAN FURY Images and Synopsis Featuring Nick Frost | Collider

1987: A 13 year old natural born dancer with fire in his heels and snakes in his hips is working himself up to reign over the UK Junior Salsa Championships. But then… a freakish bullying incident on the mean streets of London robs him of his confidence, and our young hero finds his life diverted down a very different path.

Sot it is that 22 years later, an adult Bruce Garrett (Nick Frost) finds himself out-of-shape and unloved – trapped in a downward spiral of self-pity and repression. Only Julia (Rashida Jones), his smart, funny, gorgeous, new American boss gives him reason to live. But she’s untouchable. Out of his league, so he imagines, with her perfect smile and perfect life. Unknown to Bruce however, Julia has issues all of her own. Luckily for him, she also has a secret passion… Then there’s Drew (Chris O’Dowd), his alpha male colleague and horny king-monkey of the office. With Drew making no secret of his desire to get (his words) “all up inside Julia,” Bruce is forced into action…

And thus, Bruce is once again brought face-to-face with the darkest and most powerful of his inner demons. Somehow, someway, and with a lot of handholding from loyal sister Sam (Olivia Colman) Bruce must learn how to unshackle his dancing beast, regain his long lost fury and claim the love of his life… and he’s going to do it all On The Dance Floor…
Look, I realize this will be a little/inconsequential flick, but it'll no doubt have a few larfs.
