After 12 years, it’s here - he manages to develop a skin that provides protection against any kind of attack. Now he only needs three things to complete his experiment: No qualms about an accomplice and a human test subject.

This should be interesting. I like Almodovar and several of his films are disturbing, but this really is pretty much his first "horror film."

And...Banderas can be a bad ass apparently.

I like Banderas...but, I am watching a movie right now called The Big Bang, and it almost seems as if his accent is getting worse as he gets older. Doing foreign films may be the way to go.

BD Horror News - 'The Skin I Live In' Gets October Theatrical Run

Sony Pictures has settled on a October 7 limited release for Pedro Almodovar's horror thriller The Skin I Live In, a Spanish-language thriller starring Antonio Banderas as a plastic surgeon seeking revenge on the man who raped his daughter. It will begin its run in New York and Lose Angeles, before expanding over the following weeks.

“The Skin I Live In” features almost no comic relief, takes its time telling its story, and conjures up imagery (suggestively, without being explicit) that might make even “Human Centipede” fans flinch, so it’s no surprise that it’s already dividing audiences, critics, and even Almodóvar fans.

For me, it was a disturbing experiment in terror that calls to mind some of the all-time horror classics -- particularly Georges Franju’s “Eyes Without a Face” -- while boldly striking out on its own.

Opening at various Laemmles on 11/4, including Claremont, which means I just might get to see it on the big screen.
