i'm watching arrow. only because smallville was a guilty pleasure and it piqued my interest in oliver queen/green arrow. i've only seen the pilot so far and it seems to be the typical cw action packed version of a soap. i did have a laugh at all the parkouring, but it's not bad. certainly not as bad as smallville got... from what i can tell from that first episode.

Stick with it Lunchbox...it's still uneven but it's a lot of fun and has great potential. My initial response to the whole Nolan-ization of the Green Arrow was predictably eye rolling, but it is working. They are soaping it up a bit, but it's the CW so you can expect that.

Parkour is a pox on the world.

oh ya, me too. it was a great show in the beginning. i couldn't watch that season where lana was possessed by a witch though. then i came back to it and sort of it enjoyed it but it just wasn't as good and i'm glad it ended so i wouldn't feel compelled to keep watching sinfully bad tv.

and... i stayed up and caught up on all the episodes. despite the dialogue issues that have been pointed out, i enjoy the format of the show with him and his list so i'll be watching it all season. like someone else mentioned, i'm also interested in what happened on the island and i like how they flash back to the boat wreck/island for snippets of reveal.

Nope. Parkous is the devil.

I watch both as well. Revolution is a cool concept and it's an OK show. Some of the acting gets on my nerves and some of it is predictable, but I'll keep on watching. It has been growing on me as time goes on.
Arrow. Well, I've always been a DC freak (I even watched Birds of Prey) so I had to give this a peek. They changed up his mythology quite a bit. First of all, they dropped "Green". Speedy is his sister instead of a kid named Roy Harper. Black Canary is a lawyer, and isn't actually Black canary...YET. Dude has a family. He does seem to be a bit Bruce Wayne-ish with his dual life, but then again I guess that's why they were buds in the comics. (I know, he was better buds with Green Lantern, but still.) Also, he is actually learning from someone on the island instead of teaching himself. This makes things a little more interesting, because I want to know who that dude is and what happened to him as well. The Bludhaven mention (which was a cool Nightwing reference) made me smile. Will he be making an appearance?
The Huntress and Royal Flush gang are cool characters to drop into the show. Fringe DC types that readers would recognize without superpowers. Deadshot...I don't think he's dead. I didn't really catch the name, but the Asian woman Arrow fought...was that supposed to be Lady Shiva? I really hope that they keep any super-powered heroes/villains off the show, or tweaked so they are not super-powered. Smallville had that covered. just keep this one in a more "realistic" light. Realistic being relative of course.
At any rate, I'll keep watching that show as well. Let's see how it goes.

They only really used the parkour once. It's not overdone yet. And I think the Asian chick was supposed to be China White.

Parkour was overdone the moment it was invented. No single creative endeavor can ever use it sparingly enough. Even mentioning it at a writers meeting is overdoing it.
