Is it because it isn't a skill you possess Doc? I think it's wondrous and I actually enjoy and appreciate it. Let's be honest, Batman would be a master of it...it almost seems an essential superhero tool. Why the hate Doc. It's basically street gymnastics. Do you not at least admire the skill of those that are truly good at it.

I see. Clearly you are in the pocket of Big Parkour.

Yes. I am the 1%. I envy anyone who can defy gravity and physics like that because I am an out of shape dude on the back end of things and getting out of bed is more challenging than it should be. I will admit that most times they show someone performing it, they usually look like a douche and deserving of a slap.

I've watched Revolution so far. Pretty good but it needs to get going a bit faster.

I'm not going to bother with Arrow...not really interested.

Of course, none of these sci-fi like shows even remotely come close to BSG...so my expectations are rather low.

Well, network vs cable is apples to oranges. Network stuff is simplified/watered down so the results are always gonna be less. I almost think Revolution is giving away too much too soon, but otherwise you face the LOST argument that folks don't want to wait around as long for reveals. For what it is(a network show) it's just good enough.

Arrow is pretty much the same. They are doing what they can within the confines of a network tv show.

Both of these shows, when judged against other NETWORK shows, are pretty good examples of what you can acheive in that system. I watch, enjoy and want both to continue.

But if you asked me to give up one of my least favorite dvr'd cable shows I would say no. There just isn't a comparison and it's unfair to expect otherwise.

Probably all true. Hell, even SyFy has found a way to butcher the BSG franchise. Not surprisingly they are owned by NBC.

Right now, I'm happy watching dvr'd episodes of the old "All in the Family" on Antenna TV. One of the greatest shows ever....

I'd have to go with Chico and the Man. But then, I have a bias because my dad was on that show.

Revolution is starting to fade on me. Still having fun with Arrow though, I guess it helps that I have no clue of the actual green arrow back story from other sources. So I have no clue who all these characters are that you guys talk about

I actually saw two guys practicing their parkour (in Lima of all places) on some rusty jungle gym looking thing. I was hoping to see one land on his face, but sadly no, most of the falling was just onto their hands and knees. Parkour is cool when people are good at it, but what I learned is that you look like some third grader jumping around like a fool when you are not good at it. So these dorks need to get themselves a warehouse and practice in private. When you can beat the salmon ladder and the cliff hanger, then you can do it in public.
