And I liked Super 8. Mostly.Unlike a similarly premised film about a group of youngsters dealing with an alien invasion in their town released this year, Attack the Block does not wear those influences on its sleeve (or screenplay or cinematography or plot). It stands on its own as genuinely exciting piece of filmmaking. One that does not require seeing through special nostalgia glasses to appreciate.
