Hooker with a Penis by Tool

    I met a boy wearing Vans, 501s, and a
Dope Beastie t, nipple rings, and
New tattoos that claimed that he
    Was OGT,
    From '92,
    The first EP.

    And in between
    Sips of Coke
    He told me that
    He thought
    We were sellin' out,
    Layin' down,
    Suckin' up
    To the man.

    Well now I've got some
    A-dvice for you, little buddy.
    Before you point your finger
    You should know that
    I'm the man,

    And if I'm the man,

    Then you're the man, and
He's the man as well so you can
Point that ****in' finger up your ass.

All you know about me is what I've sold you,
    Dumb ****.
I sold out long before you ever heard my name.

I sold my soul to make a record,
    Dip ****,
    And then you bought one.

    So I've got some
    Advice for you, little buddy.
    Before you point your finger
    You should know that
    I'm the man,

    If I'm the ****in' man
Then you're the ****in' man as well
    So you can
Point that ****in' finger up your ass.

All you know about me is what I've sold you,
    Dumb ****.
I sold out long before you'd ever even heard my name.

I sold my soul to make a record,
    Dip ****,
    And you bought one.

    All you read and
    Wear or see and
    Hear on TV
    Is a product
    Begging for your
    Fatass dirty
    Dollar

    Shut up and

Buy buy buy my new record
    Buy Buy Buy
    Send more money

    **** you, buddy.

I'm sure that's what most bands have to say about you calling them sell outs

So I guess Ministry would be considered a reverse sellout? AJ would like us all to believe he sold out to get his foot in the door first and then settled into his choice of genre. LMAO...(in a fake ass English accent of course)!

    Yep.

Wonder if the words "Ministry", "The Beatles" and "sellouts" have ever been mentioned in the same post on the internet ever? This *may* be a absolute first. Congratz ges, you and I will now go down in interwebz history. :D

EDIT: And for good measure....She's got a Cause.

TSOL did not have ANY of the original members during their metal days, they just owned the rights to the name . At that time Jack and the original guys wanted to start playing again but they could not use the name, so they played under the name LOST, which of course is TSOL backwards.

It is long story how that all happened but the short version is one by one the original members left the band and was replaced until no original members remained, thus the "sellout". As it happened one the replacements was the brother in law of Gentleman Jack so that made it awkward and more than a few lawsuits resulted.

I saw LOST once and they were great!

My first few are:

    Metallica (Thank you Bob Rock)
Gwen Stefani (Loved No Doubt's first album)
The Offspring (yea-a hah ha hah)
    Green Day (Uber pop)
Eddie Vedder (force the vibrato a bit there fella?)
AFI (If you were a fan of their first 3 albums, you likely weren't a fan of the 4th)

Who else belongs on this list?
I LOVE AFI! Have since i was a young punk rock kid. I dont think they sold out per say. Their sound always changed album to album they did get softer and a bit away from there hardcore punk roots. Only album i didnt like was December UnderGround.

Hmm I always thought Ron Emory (OG Guitarist I THINK!) was part of the metal record which to be honest wasn't that bad and yes I saw the OG lineup and then the
"Beneath the Shadows" line up then the metal years line up and thought all the shows were good.
    Just different is all.

I think giving Sid Barrett the boot and bringing in Gilmour full time was the main reason Dark side and all the albums after that sounded different from the earlier works. I wouldnt call that selling out.

You may be right, but I recall even Ron leaving at one point.
