Boston - their new album is coming out soon. But did they sell out, or just use up all their talent in their first album?

Aerosmith - GG their "new" stuff sucks out loud!! and it's already 15 - 20 years old.

sid actually gave himself the boot.. Gilmore did some good stuff, but he is the reason the band is where there are or aren't today.

Floyd only made 1 full album with Barrett in Piper at the Gates. After that it was all Floyd as we know them. Floyds second album in Saucerful of Secrets only had 1 Barrett song on it. It wasnt as if DSOTM was the first to feature Gilmour and that was the dividing line. Meddle, More, Obscured by Clouds were all made after Barrett was gone.

Listening to The Piper at the Gates of Dawn with headphones on still blows my mind. It's not my favorite Pink Floyd album though.

KISS never sold out .
They were always about the $$$ , fame , chicks etc.
How can you sell out when you're in from the get go.

Don't forget the Beatles had dolls , and everything "branded" before people called it branded.

All though I believe KISS are the first to have their own brand of coffin , KISS "Kaskets" that doubles as a cooler for drinks etc till
you need it for burial .

I dunno how true this is but I heard Dimebag Darrell used his for his final needs.
Strickly a rumor , but it's kinda cool

As far as marketing goes , this is really the only a band can make real money these days .
