New 52 Review: Animal Man #1 | CraveOnline

I look forward to the critically acclaimed tpb that will come right before this title gets cancelled, again.

    Universal Acquires David Guggenheim's 364

Judging from the number of projects Ron Howard is attached to, his ambitious adaptation of The Dark Tower looks to be all but dead. Deadline reports that Universal has acquired a pitch entitled 364 from David Guggenheim, and Ron Howard is set to direct. The film revolves around a man who, on one day each year, has superpowers. The title refers to the number of days a year he spends thinking about what heroic deeds he will perform when the day comes.

    Don't say that.

I am actually thinking about following some of the relaunch titles on a monthly basis. I am not selling out, but buying in. :D

I wish DC nothing but luck. At least the relaunch has signs of originality/creativity instead of the machine like LATHERRINSEREPEAT of Marvel. So, please do.

The Hellfire Club Movie That Never Was, And The X-Men Movies That Might Be Soon Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors

I had always wanted to do the Hellfire Club because they’re really fascinating. I almost wanted to spin them off into another movie… It didn’t get to script. It got to formulating who we would use and which story we would use because there’s the whole Jean Grey part of the Hellfire story. I like the whole Jean Grey involvement. I thought that was really interesting.
That initial appearance in Xmen was pretty much the high water mark in X-comics(and top 5 as far as comic team story lines) as far as I am concerned. It's all been pretty downhill since then.

DC seems to have learned nothing from Marvel. I mean, christ, the blueprint is there, it's been done...yet DC can't even follow a simple blueprint. Yeah, it's good that they are trying to make substitute artists work organically, but there shouldn't be that problem before the title hits #10. If the guy is too busy, they should have got someone else. I know you want Swamp Thing to return to the heights Adgy...this ain't the way to do it if you ask me. Everything DC has done has come with an element of dodginess to it. It pains me because i hate marvel and have always been a DC guy, but they just keep finding the damned banana peel.
What i think is cool (and I don't mean Cool!!!, i mean cool) is that they are aware of his inability to meet the schedule and so are doing fill ins in a structured way. Such a nice change of pace from books being constantly late or having a ****ty fill in artist because no one else is available. At least this way, it can be planned ahead.

It's not that I'm excited about it, I'm just glad they're heading it off at the pass.

    What about JLA? :P

I just picked up this week's books yesterday and haven't read them. Today's lunch hour will be Swamp Thing, Animal Man and Action Comics!

Fair enough. Now that you differentiated and went all lower case, I agree with you.
