I don't much care for the direction the Green Lantern corner of the DCU has gone over the last 5 years and I don't think the current Sinestro arc is all that interesting either. It COULD be I suppose... but I've got no patience left for any of the other 6 "Rainbow Corps". I want Dave Gibbons steering the ship again.

But yea... the mainstream books are the most boring.

You wanted to know what's bad? Justice League International.

They took a great mini-series, built up fan interest and have just completely murdered any and all momentum.
Is Giffen on that book, cause as far as I am concerned NOBODY had a better run with the JL books. I have to dig some of those out just for the beautiful artwork of Batman/Martian Manhunter scornfully looking down their noses at Blue Beetle(Ted Kord...nobody else) and Booster Gold while they laughed maniacally.

Grant Morrison is supposed to save Superman, lol.

I like Grant Morrison and all, but maybe it's just me, but he seems out of place writing Supes.

    Man, I missed a lot.

I haven't read this week's books, but I've been keeping up with about a dozen of the new 52. I'm enjoying all of them to varying degrees, but if I had one gripe with them it's that a lot of them seem to be made for the trade paperback. For a lot of the books, nothing much (felt like it) happened in the first one or two issues and only now in month three is the setup from those books starting to pay off.

Having said that, yeah Demon Knights and Frankenstein are still my two favorites. And Batwoman, of course, but that's mostly for the art. Animal Man is really good, the last issue of Swamp Thing was really good. The two Batman books I was originally buying I think I'm just going to wait for the trades on, though they weren't bad. Action Comics is... interesting. Wonder Woman is really good so far (and the art is awesome).

    Let's see... what else?

Justice League is ok. Relatively enjoyable. Justice League Dark is ok, still feels like it's in setup mode, though.

I have to admit, I half expected this relaunch to blow up in DC's face, but so far it's been pretty damn impressive.

I actually had two or three of the issues, but never read them because I couldn't get the one I was missing. Ended up selling the ones I did have on eBay a bunch of years ago for a bunch of money. It was nice.

Michael Fassbender Talks X-MEN: FIRST CLASS Sequel

With A Dangerous Method hitting theaters on November 23rd and the NC-17 rated Shame opening on December 2nd, Michael Fassbender is busy promoting both films and his truly excellent performances in each. Although very different films, they each explore themes of sex and sexuality, and what is culturally accepted behavior in the bedroom.

While Collider got to sit down with the ultra-busy actor to talk about those films, we’ll run the video interview closer to their release dates. However, in the meantime, we did want to share what he had to say about his return to the role of Magneto for the eventual sequel to X-Men: First Class, how he’s looking forward to working on ideas with James McAvoy and hopefully Matthew Vaughn, and that he’s interested to see how Charles Xavier turns into Professor X. Check out what he had to say after the jump.

X-Men: First Class was both a critical and commercial hit. What are you looking forward to with the sequel, and do you know when you’ll start filming?

MICHAEL FASSBENDER: I have no idea. I’m looking forward to working with all those people again. We had a lot of fun. It was a great cast and a great crew. Hopefully, I’ll get in at ground level and start putting some ideas together myself, with James [McAvoy] and, hopefully, (director) Matthew [Vaughn], and we can see what happens next.

I’m really interested to see what happens to Charles (James McAvoy), in the next one, and see how he becomes Professor X ‘cause we got to see Erik turn into Magneto, in the first one. It will be interesting to see who shaves Charles’ head. When he’s drunk one night, the mutants will go in there and shave his head and shave off his eyebrows. Maybe.
