Avi Arad Says ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Fits in the Framework of Sam Raimi’s Films

Exec producer Avi Arad says the film won’t erase what came before but will try to weave a narrative that could take place within the framework of the earlier films. ‘It’s not a comeback,’ he says. ‘You have to look at it this way: Do you want to know more about Spider-Man? This movie is going to tell stories that you didn’t see in movies 1, 2, and 3.
Someone tell Avi Arad to go away.

Michael Zulli Will Even Draw Batman To Fund New Graphic Novel, The Fracture Of The Universal Boy Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors

So apparently, Michael Zulli is using Kickstarter to try and fund an original graphic novel.
As always there are various levels of donation and $45 gets you a signed copy of the graphic novel, a Fracture print and your name in the book.
This guy is a hell of an artist. You may recognize his work from Sandman.

Michael Zulli Reaches Kickstarter Goal Of $17,000 Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors

Yessssssss! Looking forward to my signed copy with my name printed in the Thanks.

EDIT: From the comments, a comment by the publisher:

As for the practical question of what happens to any overfunding? Well, it's true, it doesn't get refunded. We'll be using those funds to do a number of project related things. The first and foremost is going to be managing the shipping costs on (so far) 238 books. We had figured on shipping lots of these, but not this many. This will also enable us to upgrade the book, whether something subtle or something obvious. It'll also allow for and even more insanely gorgeous limited edition. And if it goes beyond that? We'd love to bring Michael Zulli to Comic-Con this year, where we'll be debuting the book. And who knows.? Maybe the momentum will keep going. Be assured that whatever happens, it'll go towards continuing bring out amazing projects by incredible artists. We've already got two projects in the pipeline from Fables artist Joao Ruas and illustration legend Barron Storey.
****, if Michael Zulli is going to Comic Con...
