I'm sorry, but this might be the greatest idea ever. Read the second link for the breakdown of how Moore wanted to kill all of the existing DC supes and just start from scratch. It really is amazing...so much so that it's an impossibility.

I agree that it was a fabulous idea for a story.... but the button on the end is essentially Moore saying "look... this story gives you everything you need creatively and commercially without actually effecting the status quo."

It's an elseworlds tale undone by itself. That's part of what makes it so brilliant.

Dredd 3D starring Karl Urban is coming to Blu-ray 3D in January 2013

The 2012 Pete Travis directed film “Dredd 3D” starring Karl Urban (as “Judge Dredd“) is coming to Blu-ray 3D on January 8th, 2013 via Lionsgate. The film co-stars Olivia Thirlby, Lena Headey, Wood Harris, Langley Kirkwood, Junior Singo and Luke Tyler. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a 2D version (on the same Blu-ray Disc) as well as a Digital Copy and UltraViolet digital copy of the film. Tech specs have not officially been announced yet nor have bonus materials for the release but stay tuned. The title is available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon with a $27.99 price tag.
