Sad sad day. Last issue of THE BOYS. Picked up the first 2 of HAPPY to ease the pain. Golden Apple is sold out of Deadpool #1 still...luckily when issue 2 comes out in 2 weeks they should definitely have more since Posehn and the artist(sorry forgot his name) will be signing. Should be interesting.

Aww. The Boys is out today. Damn.

The last issue of a Garth Ennis long series is ALWAYS a hard read.

Well...the second to last was the heartbreaker. This is more of the epilogue...got the chills thinking about reading it though, need some good news for closure.

I have nothing against JGL...he seems like a sweet kid. Which is exactly why I don't see him as Batman. I have never seen him demonstrate the range of emotion needed to succeed as Batman. Could be proven wrong...but it's a misstep. Especially if they are going to present him as the cop that inherits the mantle instead of Bruce Wayne. But wait...the confusion if they cast him as Bruce Wayne won't work either. Yeah, bad idea. Sorry.

Superhero Bits: Captain Planet, Batman, Spider-Man, Arrow, Iron Man 3, Riddler, The Avengers | /Film

A huge exhibit of Batman props, vehicles and more opening in Los Angeles this week on the L.A. LIVE Event Deck (directly behind Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE) Admission to the exhibit is free to the public. The exhibit hours are Monday through Sunday, 12:00PM – 9:00PM from November 30th to December 14th.

Joe Carnahan in Talks to Write and Direct UNDYING LOVE | Collider

Deadline reported that Carnahan was in talks to write and direct Undying Love for Warner Bros. Director Alexandre Aja (Piranha 3D) was previously attached to helm the picture but it appears that’s no longer the case. Aja, who is currently filming the Horns adaptation starring Daniel Radcliffe, is well-versed in horror so this seemed like a fairly appropriate pairing. Carnahan, on the other hand, is a solid action director; experience which will lend itself well to the more up-tempo parts of this project. Carnahan himself noted the distinction in a recent comment about how he decided to focus on Undying Love:


“I really took to it, and the metric I use is how fast I come up with ideas and an outline, and this brought about a bunch of ideas. It is a little out of my wheelhouse, taking place in China with mysticism and swordplay, but there is a lot of potential here.”

There’s no word at this time as to where Undying Love will fit into Carnahan’s schedule or what this means for his potential Death Wish reboot.
