Sounds interesting. A creative team like that would make it hard to not buy regardless of the book.

Idle Hands: Bendis Talks Guardians of the Galaxy in Marvel Now
Quote:
The things that have happened on Earth in the past few events have had a butterfly effect through the galaxy. The abuse of time travel, the use of the Infinity Gems…these things have costs. The Guardians are the first line of defense for Earth. If you’re looking at Earth in the Marvel Universe from a distant, it looks like an insane asylum! It’s a place where the Phoenix Force doesn’t destroy the world, where Galactus doesn’t feed. It’s the scariest place anywhere to the rest of the galaxy! Wait until Earth joins the cosmic community… A lot of big time cosmic players are on stage right from the beginning.
Comic Review: Todd, The Ugliest Kid On Earth #1 | Geeks of Doom
Quote:
Kristensen writes Todd, The Ugliest Kid On Earth like Siegfried and/or Roy, pushing and poking wild jungle cats until they finally snap and leave him in a mass of torn and bloody sequins. The wild cats in this confusing metaphor are you and I, the reader. To Kristensen, no calf is too golden. Drunken abusive parents, little kids getting murdered, blood, and guts are all in a day’s work for this author and that might not sit so well with some folks. Sure, we can handle all types of murder and mayhem in drama books, but things get different when it’s in a comedy book. Put a child-killing axe murder next to a dick joke and some people may think you’re making light of some pretty heavy stuff. This of course is why I must restate that this book might not be for everyone.
If you can stomach all the wicked things going on between the pages of Todd, The Ugliest Kid On Earth, you’ll probably love this book. Prolific artist M.K Perker stuns in this book with his unique distorted character proportions and brilliant line work.
Todd, The Ugliest Kid On Earth is a brutal book both in terms of violence and content. As things stand, I doubt that Kristensen won’t ramp things down as this story progresses. It’s tough to say if this book will be universally loved. The only thing that can be said without a shadow of a doubt is that Kristensen and Perker are two endlessly talented individuals and Todd, The Ugliest Kid On Earth is the culmination of their shared vision. Give it a shot. You might be surprised.

Jason Aaron & Simone Bianchi on 'Thanos Rising' | CraveOnline
Quote:
"The story of Thanos' rise to power would make Shakespeare shudder," said Axel Alonso, Editor in Chief of Marvel. "The epic saga of a young boy, born in blood on a planet far, far away, who grows to become one of the most powerful and terrifying forces in the Marvel Universe, Thanos Rising takes a cold, hard look at the eternal question: Are some people just born evil?'
“This is without a doubt one of the creepiest stories I've ever gotten to write for Marvel. It's the origin of an outer space serial killer, the story of the universe's weirdest romance and a grand cosmic tragedy, all wrapped up in one,” said Aaron. “This is me taking five issues to really dig into the head of a space-faring world conqueror, mass murderer and hopeless romantic. I love writing stories with villains as the main character, and this book is about Thanos all the way.”
Aaron has had a very spotty record, but he's currently firing on all cylinders with Thor: God of Thunder, so it's possible that massive sweeping otherworldly epics are his proper milieu.
First Look: Age of Ultron #1 | CraveOnline
Quote:
Brian Michael Bendis may have left the Avengers books, but he hasn't left the Avengers entirely. This March, he's bringing us Age of Ultron, a massive possible-future epic wherein the ruthless robot has achieved ultimate triumph with his robo-revolution, and it'll be up to Wolverine, Luke Cage, Invisible Woman, Taskmaster, Beast, Emma Frost, She-Hulk, Spider-Man and Moon Knight to try and put right what once went wrong.
oooh nice line up. Taskmaster, Beast and Moon Knight, 3 of my faves. Damn you Marvel.

Marvel Cancels Age Of Apocalypse And X-Treme X-Men In April - Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors
No surprise there. Age Of Apocalypse has been a pretty solid book, but I was mostly just reading it to support Dave Lapham. Oh well.
