Worst Buy has a deal where you get a movie cash ticket worth $7.50 with the purchase of the Blu-Ray's of Highlander, T2, Rambo and Gamer. Forgot to mention the price of the Blu-Ray...$8.99.

Doesn't appear to have done very well in its opening weekend. Gross 10 mil, predicted for at least 15 mil.

You know, fightin' in a basement offers a lot of difficulties. Number one being, you're fightin' in a basement!

Yeah...gonna be a big dropoff next weekend. Margin call as to whether this gets another go.

Wow...this still came in ahead of Fright Night. Gonna make back it's money...Conan 2 gets greenlit by the end of the week.

Weekend Box Office: THE HELP, RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, SPY KIDS 4, CONAN THE BARBARIAN, FRIGHT NIGHT

Kinda sad as I understand that he makes a great Conan, just that the story, etc sucked so bad that it is a horrible film while the core is there to make a good one.

Just watched it. I like action scenes as much as the next guy but there comes a point where mindless action starts to become boring and unfortunately Conan is one of those movies where the action to story ratio is plain ridiculous. There was literally a guy snoring in the seat behind mine, no joke. And I don't really blame him, once you tire of the constant fighting there's nothing of substance left to enjoy. It's decent for what it is and I didn't really expect it to be great or anything but it was just too much of the same thing.

I'd say it's roughly on par with Conan the Destroyer, though Conan the Destroyer probably had a better plot if you can believe that.

interestingly enough, i watched the original again like last year after not having seen it in a REALLY long time... and honestly, if you're at all into comic and or action/adventure flicks, it is a really good movie.
