Swans were pretty damn awesome, it was my first time seeing them and they did not disappoint one bit.
I also got to meet up with adgy and the great gescom. Adgy, i meant to ask you - do you have any shows lined up or eyeing in the near future?

The show was awesome, got to meet Mr. Gira and got myself some nice signed merch.
No problem, sir. Thanks for the beer!
Mogwai in May. That's about it. Oh, and the Yellow Magic Orchestra/Cibo Matto show at the Hollywood Bowl this summer. You like Cibo Matto?
That's awesome. Did he hang around for a while? I thought about going over to see if I could meet him, but I get kind of nervous doing that sometimes and I have no idea what I would say to him, anyway. Beyond telling him I love him and thinks he's amazing. Oh, I guess I could have told him how ****ING AWESOME it was that they did "I Crawled", but... yeah, it would have just been fanboy balbbering and since he had already signed all the CDs I bought at the merch table I opted to avoid the embarassment.
As for the show... woof. I really wasn't expecting them to play just the loud, long stuff. I thought there would be moments or songs that were a little more relaxed, but I'm really ****ing happy that they just went with the loud, fast, ****ed up stuff predominantly.
And "I Crawled"... that's my favorite Jarboe song and when I heard them start it up, I was WTFing all over my pants. Definitely the highlight of the night for me.
Fantastic show. Totally lived up to my expectations and desires. I love Michael Gira. Always and forever. XOXOXOXOX
just bought my ticket for peter murphy 3/14! best part is, i can walk to the mayan from my work and i won't have to pay parking!
i thought I Crawled and the new one Jim were flat out BALLS!
The Airborne Toxic Event is touring the US again starting in late April. The wife and I are seeing them in April (The Satellite), May (midwest), and June (San Diego HOB). Looking forward to it!!
Here are my updates to this list and I could care less about the afterthought
Motley Crue/Poison
Dropkick Murphys
Weird Al Yankovic
Not sure how long he hung around for, i was at the start of the line that formed to get merch personalized. I pretty much just told him how great their set was, asked to get my poster signed/personalized and thanked him. Although the person infront of me seemed to be blabbering on fanboy style for quite some time and he was totally cool about it so you could of gotten some time in ;) haha . My favorite track of the night was "Jim" hands down.
Just a reminder for those wanting a cool show in the near future that Devo is coming to Club Nokia on March 19th. Please believe me when I say Devo BRINGS IT live!

Also, I believe the mighty Josh f'in Freese is performing with them (APC, Vandals, NIN, etc). Those of you who saw that last round of APC shows at Avalon know what I am talking about when I say he is simply awesome. One of the best live rock drummers in the world. My teeth were literally rattling during his beat down of APC's The Package on night two.
