Damn...ages ago...Masters of Reality opening for Kings X w/the Ballad of Dwight Frye(a Cooper cover band) at some godforsaken place in OC...right after the Rick Rubin produced MOR debut...I fell in love with that band that night...simply amazing. Probably why I dig newer QOTSA as well as older, because the dreamy quality mixed with the tremendous harmony vocals remind me of Masters.

Since you dig your rock with an ethereal twist, check out current QOTSA guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen's prior band Failure... this song was later covered by A Perfect Circle while Van Leeuwen was also in that band (BTW, it kicks in at the 2:00 mark but the entire song is cool IMO):
