Flo's pretty awesome if you haven't seen her live. And I really enjoyed The Weeknd's set at Coachella.

And The Maccabees are one of the front runners for the 2012 ATOY at this point. I'm not sure I'll go to this, but I'll be damned if I miss their headlining gig.

Went to the Los Lobos/X/Mariachi el Bronx show yesterday. Lightly attended. That was unfortunate b/c X sounded just as fresh and powerful as they did back in 1982. Los Lobos were their usual spectacular selves, pulling out gems from their vast catalog left and right, segueing beautifully into a number of covers, letting their "jam band" flag fly for awhile. All in all a great day and great show.

Did DEVO last night at Hollywood Park. My first time seeing a show there and I gotta say it was a pretty cool spot. Venue area is all the way at the end of the racetrack. Good sized crowd. We got a hits laden set which did not surprise me due to the nature of the venue/event. One thing about DEVO is they consistently deliver live as well, and most times better than they have with their recorded versions of the same material. Uncontrollable Urge is always ridiculously good. Not sure who pounded skins for them last night (Josh Freese is out of country) but he did a stellar job. For at least a couple of songs I thought it was the Freezer till I got a closer look. Excellent show all around! I'll definitely check out JAMC there in June.

is it like an outdoor stage or something? i wanna check out JAMC also

Yes, it is. It's tough to compare it to any other venue since it's rather unique. The sound was very good for an outdoor field. I have seen DEVO several times before and can confirm all of their visuals and stage production were there. Very chill vibe too. I had my reservations but those are now gone. It's a good place for a show and, as mentioned, you can count me in for JAMC too.

Edit- you know.. the stage I just thought of it reminds me of is Hollywood Forever's. Same size and similar layout- except one's a cemetery and one's a race track.
