Concerts Of 2k12 Thread

2012 is here- time for a new Concerts of 2K** thread!

We’ll use this to post up and discuss shows we have upcoming, as well as post-performance reviews and ruminations.

Let’s get to it! Here is what I have lined up so far…

Tool- Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, NV, January 15th
Tool- Tucson Arena, Tucson, AZ, January 17th
Coachella- Empire Polo Fields, Indio, April 13th – 15th
Godspeed You! Black Emperor- Great America Music Hall, San Francisco, April 20th
Roger Waters- LA Coliseum, LA May 19th

NOFX jan 12@ anaheim HoB. Fat Mike recently tweeted that they are playing the Decline on the 9 & 17, so might have to scalp a ticket for one of them. Would love to catch that Tool show in Vegas.

Thou - January 17th @ The Smell

Ghost/ Blood Ceremony February 2nd @ The Roxy

The Twilight Sad - March 6th @ The Echo

1/10 - Shoppers

1/17 - Thou

1/22 - Blouse (girlfriend is a Blouse fan, so this I deff have to go to this one)

1/26 - Wolves in the Throne Room

I'm goin on the 18th. Someone told me they're playing the decline in full on the 9th and 17th. too bad

I also just saw Matt Skiba is playing the troubadour this month on the 28th. slight possibility as I missed the alkaline trio shows last year.

and Authority Zero at the roxy a week from friday. another slight possibility.

Any power metal aficionados out there - buddy of mine asked me to go see Nightwish at Universal Amp next week. Worth it? My power metal knowledge is limited fairly to dragonforce, sonata arctica, one rhapsody cd, and a little iced earth (if includable).

Some place called "Cat Nap" it's in downtown LA, never been there though.

Chelsea Wolfe is opening the WITTR show, means you can't miss it now adgy.
