I struggled with that Arctic Monkey's pre-sale for some reason. Gonna wait till closer to show time and see if they release a few good ones.

Coachella 2014 is probably the best produced Coachella I have ever attended. The improvements made to the overall layout of the field are commendable, including the Yuma tent (which attracts away more of the dance crowd) moving the Do Lab to the back of the terrace, and, of course, the newly opened Craft Beer Tent! Yup, no more Heineken or Newcastle if you don't want it. Instead, I sampled the likes of Bruery's Oude Tarte, Gilgamesh's Millennium Falconer IPA, Noble's Big Wig IPA and Lost Abbey's Saison, to name a few.
Performance-wise, it's tough to name a clear favorite. I'll start by saying Muse was hampered by a massive sand storm, as was Queens of the Stone Age. They were still both really good. Was nice to see Muse open with Stockholm Syndrome. The rest of their set was rather expected, but Stockholm and later Plugin Baby were good highlights.
The top sets though were Motorhead, Bryan Ferry and Jagwar Ma. Two old Brits and a young Australian band dominated. Motorhead destroyed everything in their path. It's that simple. The Slash appearance during Ace Of Spades was a nice touch. Lemmy struggled in between but sounded good during the songs. I even went into the pit a couple times. I was astounded by Ferry's performance. Kiss and Tell and More Than This... he was great and his band were the best of the best. And Jagwar Ma had a combination of the catchiest songs and most energy of any band at the festival.
Honorable mentions go to the weird and wacky Foxygen, Warpaint and the Replacements. The Replacements in particular were killing it but I opted to leave half way through their set to make it to Bryan Ferry. Tough call. Some Goldenvoice scheduler really decided to mess with the older fans on that one.
Can't wait for next year!

nice to get some mosh pit action last night for the first time in like two years
also after hearing Combichrist live with their new metal sound, Andy should've just started another band with a different name if this is what he wants to do. hell he already has like 5-6 other groups that all have a distinction from one another. i almost felt like i was at a KMFDM show last night (which is not a bad thing, just sayin)
