I loved how emotional Nolan went with the film, and I really liked it overall. The ending was pretty damn good, BUT there are a lot of flaws in the films structure. I honestly feel like this should have been 2 movies.
I know there are people who really want to know what I think, just so you know i am going to the spoilers thread from here on out.
Grant Morrison's Guide to Batman on the Big Screen | Rolling Stone
Someday, I'm going to watch those old 50's serials.
Am I the only ****ing person who thinks the Adam West era Batman show is just ****ing criminally over rated???
I mean yea I get it .... we (of a certain generation) all grew up watching it and it was Batman and it was fun and cool....
but it's just NOT that hilarious now that I'm an adult. It's not that clever or satirical or whatever... it's just ****ing campy and once you've seen two episodes it's repetitive as shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.
If someone aired 120 episodes where each one had the same beats, the same jokes, the same conclusion etc etc etc today there would be a mountain of criticism leveled against it.
Also Grant Morrison is an idiot.
Those serials are kinda racist! :O
Well, a product of their time, think Japanese stereotypes, I mean the WWII wasn't to far away.
I thought they were still worth watching anyways.
Oh, yeah, there's some anti Nazi propaganda in those serials, but that's awesome!
And that comment was correct, they came out in the 40's.
