He's still just a dude with an opinion.
In this case he's wrong.
Matt Damon Talks Ben Affleck as Batman; Says “It’s Safe to Say I Won’t Be Robin” | Collider
Just a confession...I only post the counter hatred in the interest of fair time. I am not convinced either way of the efficacy of Affleck as BW/Batman. I am cursed(at least in this instance) with an open mind. I have seen Affleck do fine work as well as substandard. But I have also seen him grow the past few years, enough that I don't rule him out completely. I posted Patton's opinion, for the reason I post most stuff, not necessarily because I agreed, but because I knew it would spark conversation. Which it did. I do find it laughable that folks are soooooooooo passionate about this. They could cast Jehovah hisself and there would be those among you who raise their fists to the sky and yell simply because of the fervent(dare I say myopic) devotion to Nolan's trilogy. If anything it's perfect casting according to most of your guidelines, a vapid unappealing Batman for a movie directed by a man who can't tell a story. Vote with your wallets folks...don't go. If you buy a ticket after such a gnashing of teeth, you can only blame yourselves.
I'm reserving judgement for the time being.
I think the whole idea of a Batman/Superman movie is silly and kind of pathetic, but we'll see how it turns out, I guess.
