Dumb. If Christian Bale wants to move on and you have to re-cast... ok, but who is ever going to be better than Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman? If you can replace Batman and keep the rest, why the **** wouldn't you?

I think they should get away from Nolan's vision entirely. Why not just kick in with an adaptation of another Batman storyline? Hush, Arkham Asylum...any of the other great stories. Just remove the ties and go in pretty much assuming that EVERYONE and their grandmother knows how/why of Batman...just hit the ground running with a new p.o.v./vision. Go back to making Bats a superhero instead of a one man swat team.

It's a shame they'll never do The Dark Knight Returns. . .well, at least not until they run it back into the ground. What an absolutely phenomenal story that would make as a movie. I know we all want to see it. Curious if they'd ever have the balls to do it. Wouldn't mind seeing them do The Killing Joke either but that will NEVER make it considering how dark and twisted it is.

But isn't that what's most interesting about Batman? He's just an ordinary man. Why make him all superheroey when we have about 872 different superhero movies every year?

If a reboot is happening, I'd like to see an Arkham Asylum/City-esque Batman world; a real, gritty world (like this trilogy has been), but in it some crazy, fantastical creatures/villains that Nolan considered too "unrealistic" to portray.

But...it's a comic book. Why make a basically generic action flick when we already have about 873 of those every year.
