I admitted I was wrong about the body double actually being there.... but since there's no evidence to suggest I'm wrong about Alfred's crying farewell to Bruce then why would I admit it?

Great take, JD, and I think you're right about a lot of your criticisms. However.
I'm in the same boat as Annapurna. And the actors I did recognize I liked seeing. Seeing someone like Thomas Lennon may have taken me out of the movie for a moment, but it did so with a "hey, cool" reaction. The guys need/deserve some work.
One thing I will say I didn't like, as far as the smaller parts go, is Aiden Gillen, who plays the CIA head honcho guy in the plane at the beginning. That guy is a horrible over-actor. To the point where I actually wonder if Nolan wanted him to be a douche.

Elsewhere on the world wide web, the Comic Book Movie site has compiled dialogue from the official screenplay book and a screenshot from a making-of feature to give a brief look at a small deleted scene. The scene is a conversation between Morgan Freeman's Lucius Fox and Marion Cotillard's Miranda Tate about the fate of Wayne Enterprises stock (it comes just before Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne shows up in Fox's office). It's pretty insubstantial and goes over already-established plot threads about a possible hostile takeover of the company and if there's one thing the movie didn't need more of, it's people in suits talking about stock options. Wisely deleted. And while Nolan has never been big about putting deleted scenes on his DVDs, maybe this will make the home video edition (Blu-ray anyone?)
The actual script dialogue is at the link.
I agree that the original Bane voice was creepier and I wish they could have just cleared it up a little bit. Even the timing of some of the dialogue has changed.
Finally saw it. It was good but my expectations were sky high and I came away feeling somewhat disappointed. It lacked the focus and intensity of The Dark Knight, it was a little bit all over the place at times.
Bane was cool and him crying near the end was a nice touch that I really liked, the character needed something at that point.
The autopilot thing was way too obvious and once they showed the scar on Miranda I knew she was up to no good and felt fairly confident in her eventually betraying Batman (also in classic James Bond fashion, two girls equals one too many). I also realized he'd have to make the jump without the rope to get out of that hole. I think there were a few too many things I saw coming, I rarely felt like I had no idea how they'd move forward. There was always a way out that was just a little bit too obvious.
The Alfred thing didn't bother me... It was a bit strange but whatever. Didn't take anything away from the movie for me. The Robin reveal made me cringe a bit though I'm not sure why. Maybe I'm just having a hard time associating anything positive with Robin.
I'll have to wait until I can watch the movie again in the comfort of my home to truly know how I feel about it. Right now I'm content yet slightly disappointed because I wanted Rises to completely blow me away. It didn't but it sure made 2 hours and 40 minutes go by real fast.
