Yeah. And whether it missed the mark or not, the third film was full of that message, too.

Yep, you can be a hero too. Try standing up to someone when they point a gun at you. That's irresponsible and I am suing WB for allowing that message to be put out in a movie.

On the drive home, I was joking with my buddy about how "Robin" will pick up the mantle of Batman with no training whatsoever.

Other than the fact that all we see is him go into the batcave and now he has all of those things at his disposal to track criminals and fight them but he doesn't suit up or do anything with it that we know of.

Also, you do have a point. Usually cops don't have any experience fighting crime or hand to hand combat. They don't get trained on that stuff. First couple of years is only about how to eat donuts and drink coffee. The important stuff comes after you've been a 10 year vet.
