Was that an insanely corny episode or was it just me? Picking up his Dad's hitch-hiking ghost? Barf.
Or the brother ghost fading out in the rear view mirror?
C'mon...Dexter has always had that corn element. I think you have forgotten because, unlike past seasons, this one has clung to a fairly believable premise. Last years circle of serial killers/Dexter gets a boy wonder/ooops, Dexter has to clean up while his sister & the police are around the corner, is the most egregious example of ridiculousness.
There's a difference between completely unrealistic and just over the top schmaltz.
Man I agree. The teasers have always been misleading. And I'm not sure what she said other than she heard Hanks talking to someone else. I'm waiting for Lumen to show up at just the right time to get him out of another tight spot. She owes him. Good job by Deb to dump dip sh*! BTW, he owes Dexter also
Just say NO to Lumen. While last season was entertaining it REALLY stretched the credibility of the show. I read a review the other day where the guy said that this past episode, with Dexter's road trip, proved that this seasons 'big bad' of the 2-headed(?) doomsday killer did not have the pull that Trinity/The Rape-Murder Club/or even Jimmy Smits' run had. I disagree completely. The writers have managed to reel in a lot of the more fantastic elements of the show and give it a stronger sense of believability. And Dexter's growth through spirituality and his new found flexibility with 'the Code' have helped to grow the character considerably. This went from being an 'i'll watch it on Monday' show to a 'gotta watch it now' show.
