Dog Day Afternoon screenwriter Frank Pierson passes away at age 87

Simply one of the best damned movies. So strange the turn it takes...and yet it's played so low key, not at all showy...that you just accept it. Look for Lance Henriksen as the limo driver w/the hidden gun in the end scene.
