'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' Soundtrack Gets Artwork, Null Corporation To Release Disc In North America | Filmmakers, Film Industry, Film Festivals, Awards & Movie Reviews | indieWIRE

Over at the NIN Official News Tumblr (via Pitchfork) comes two bits of information. Firstly, the outstanding cover art for the forthcoming soundtrack has been released, and second, as we predicted, Reznor's own Null Corporation will be releasing the disc in North America. For those of you outside the U.S., Mute Records will be handling the release, so don't worry, you'll still be able to get your hands on this one with ease. No tracklist yet or release date, but with Reznor previously telling fans to stay tuned for more news on December 2nd, we're guessing this one -- like much of the marketing campaign -- will be unveiled guerilla style.

Heh. Article basically summarizes an Entertainment Weekly interview with Fincher, so you don't have to read it yourself.

The Girl With A Leonardo Manco Tattoo | Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors

We learnt yesterday that Denise Mina would be writing the DC/Vertigo adaptation of the Millennium Trilogy. Well, yesterday Bleeding Cool was told that Batman/Hellstorm/Hellblazer artist Leonardo Manco who has collaborated with Denise Mina before will be drawing The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. when it’s released next year. And today, while we were trying to get confirmation on the story, the Guardian newspaper went and confirmed it themselves.
****. Manco's a favorite. Definitely have to give this comic adaptation a look.

David Fincher should alter the end of Seven just to screw with people.

And I am pretty sure he would alter Alien 3.

And I still haven't read those books nor seen the Swedish films.

    And ....
Only by living absurdly is it possible to break out of this infinite absurdity.

David Fincher Says His 'Cleopatra' With Angelina Jolie Wouldn't Be A "Giant Sword And Sandal Epic" | Filmmakers, Film Industry, Film Festivals, Awards & Movie Reviews | indieWIRE

On the subject of his big budget adaptation of "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" for Disney, he said that, "The idea of a post-Civil War version of science fiction and the notion of being able to breathe underwater was so radical in its thinking. That's pretty cool," Fincher said. "If you're going to do big tentpole teenage PG-13 summer movies, it's kind of cool that it would be this."

Another project that Fincher has been connected to more recently is a new big screen "Cleopatra," developed by Scott Rudin and his "Curious Case of Benjamin Button" scribe Eric Roth for Angelina Jolie. While many thought this was just wishful thinking, Fincher seems more invested. "That's something I would love to do with Angie," Fincher said. "It's something that was brought to me that you have to take seriously. Scott has this wonderful book [by Stacy Schiff] and hopefully Eric can find a way in. I'm not interested in a giant sword and sandal epic," Fincher said. Of course he doesn't want to do the typical "epic" take, but his reasoning is more interesting. "We've seen scope; everyone knows we can fake that. That stuff doesn't impress in the way that it did even 10 years ago. We expect that from cable. So that's not the reason to do that. What is it about this character that has purchased this place in our history and imagination that is relatable today?"
    Fincher should direct everything.
