Going to the Wiltern-any tips for Parking and PreShow Food/Drink?
I scored some tix to see Adam Carolla and Jay Mohr for saturday night at the Wiltern. Never been there before and have the luxury of being able to get there early to get my drink on. Any tips for free parking and some good places to eat and drink?

Take the subway. The station is right across the street. There are many restaurants around the area, but I did not eat around there so don't remember any specific one except McDonalds. (recently took my kiddo to a concert there and hung out outside waiting for the show to end for quite awhile. Safe neighborhood.)
Although, there is a good parking lot there, too. There is a Ralph's right behind the theater with a multi-level parking lot which also serves the theater.
Bit of trivia...the concert scenes in the movie "La Bamba" were shot there....I was an extra.

Most of the surrounding neighborhood is Asian influenced, karaoke bars galore, so if that ain't your thing...eat before you go.

Also, a general tip for there. They have a pit that they only allow you in if you have a wristband. You get one by being one of the first bunches of people to get in and ask for one. Since the line is always huge to get in, wait in the will-call line off to the right side instead. Will-call is inside the first set of doors. They'll let you in with the regular line. Skip will-call and go in through the regular ushers. Go to pit. Get a wristband. Then go to the bar and enjoy your evening down close when you please.

There were also street vendors selling sausages and probably other stuff when I was there recently.

Subway for sure. There's also a bar around the corner semi-adjacent, called 1312 or something. Not bad bar food, decent prices. You'll also be able to watch for when people start lining up to go in the Wiltern.

So which station has the most/cheapest parking we can park at around 3-4, take the subway to the Wiltern for the show and preparty, and take the train back when the show is over? Looking at the map Im think Union Station or 7th St since its close the 110.
