Good read on Tom Lehrer

I was introduced to Lehrer when I was 13 in summer camp. One of the kids had his tape and we listened to it a million times. The "Masochism Tango" and "Who's Next" were always two of my favorites.
Then Indonesia claimed that they
Were gonna get one any day.
South Africa wants two, that's right:
One for the black and one for the white.
Egypt's gonna get one too,
Just to use on you know who.
So Israel's getting tense.
Wants one in self defense.
"The Lord's our shepherd," says the psalm,
But just in case, we better get a bomb.

thanks so much for sharing. He is truly one of the greatest geniuses of the last century. I grew on That Was The Week That Was, the show on which he appeared. Too bad he quit early.

I blame myself. Should have started an AllThings:Dr. Demento/Novelty Songs thread.
