I am super excited for this movie. Upon thinking about it, I can see how they can fit Legolas in this movie and hopefully develop his character a bit, but I don't know how Frodo is going to appear. Maybe at the end of it I guess... Anyway, I loved all the changes Jackson made in the first trilogy so I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt that he can work his magic again.
I will be most interested to see what Jackson does to create enough material for two movies. The Hobbit is a fairly slim book.
I'm just happy Christopher Lee was finally confirmed to be returning as Saruman. The only bad news so far is the rumor of Leonard Nimoy voicing Smaug, and still no casting for Bard. Otherwise this is my most anticipated movie after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part II.

The two films just got official release dates and titles.
'The Hobbit' movies official titles and release dates announced! - Monsters and CriticsPart 1 will go by the title of "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey." It will be released worldwide from December 14th, 2012.
Part 2 is called "The Hobbit: There and Back Again," and will be released a year later on December 13th, 2013.
