Have you read these books, Adgy?
Maybe silly question to ask, but I don't know.![]()
While they did wind up with a LOT of excess footage, the reason the decision to go 2 or 3 had a timeline on it is so that they can schedule more shooting. While I don't think it will be as substantial as filming a whole 'nuther movie it won't be a simple reshoot schedule either.
So leftovers? Lol!
No, that Jackson loves to shoot a lot, I mean he shot almost 4 hours of King Kong footage and I saw it on the extended cut. Talk about no mercy, lol.
It just seems excessive...the book is a single book. LOTR made sense as 3 movies, and that was freakishly long. And we all have to wait 3 years for this whole saga to play out. And 6 years before they put out the Ultimate, Ultimate, Ultimate triple dip version of the dvd's. Its just silly at this point.
Getting scared seeing it into 3 movies. 2 is a stretch. Have a bad feeling it is not going to even come close to the quality of the Lord of The Rings movies. Hopefully, I'm wrong.
If these 3 films get made and end up feeling watered down, I am blaming Mitch.![]()
