It sucks he wont be in the movies, but if they are trying to stay true to the timeline, it fits. Aragorn would have been 10yrs old when the white council drove Sauron out of Dol Guldur.

so good. is it next December yet?
Isn't GLORIOUS seeing Ian McKellen dressed up as Gandalf again? :D
Haha! When I took a class where we read The Hobbit, I took the midterm totally hungover that I forgot to answer a part that asked a question along the lines of either why are there no women or hardly any women in The Hobbit. mhihi:
I should answer the question, at least to myself one of these days, lol, because it's an interesting one. The Hobbit and LOTR to a large degree is very much male centered, but a bulk of the fans of the books tend to be women.
There I go nerding it up again.
I tell ya...I am NOT a fan of the trilogy. We could argue for days...no point to it really. THIS LOOKS AWESOME. It looks like it is missing the sense of fun that I did not get from LOTR. Martin Freeman owns it, and the dwarves look great. I really want to see this now too.
Yeah, but are you a fan of The Hobbit? That's not part of the trilogy. ;)
Seriously, I know some people were questioning whether this looked too light, but The Hobbit's tone is different from LOTR, lighter, more playful, and it reads quicker.
I like what some people have said, that is, Tolkien wrote LOTR for himself and The Hobbit for the public. ;)
God I am super excited for this!!
Hearing the music again almost brought a tear to my eye.
Has it really been 12 years since LOTR? Felt like yesterday!
