My biggest beef with King Kong was its unnecessary length actually.

How about enjoying it for what it is? Great movie, IMO. It was worth the wait.

Kinda knew going in that this was going to be lighter and fluffier than the Rings flicks. That's one of the draws for me(not a big fan...see Clerks 2 for my position of the 'trilogy'). I am a big fan of the Rankin Bass version(Hobbit) from way back. I just think 9 hours of anything is bound to be overmuch. Instead of the inevitable dip and double dip extended super inclusive Bluray releases they ought to go the opposite direction and have someone make the Readers Digest Condensed Version.

When the **** is this going to get a re-release? All I have is a picture book version of the novel with scenes from this movie that is actually my dads. Please release on Blu, whomever has the rights. Thanks.
