THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE 2 (FULL SEQUENCE) Review

The second half of the film deals with Martin actually building his Centipede: he’s got a warehouse all to himself, twelve people, a suitcase full of rusty tools, and what seems like a whole bunch of privacy (no one ever “drops by” to see what all that screaming’s about). It’s here that Six unleashes Centipede 2’s most horrific sequences, and—throughout it all—you can almost hear him cackling behind the camera, “They thought the first one was funny? Let’s see them laugh at this!”

Believe it or not, some people complained that the first Human Centipede wasn’t “dark” enough, that it didn’t see its premise through to its most graphic conclusion. For anyone who made that argument, there is The Human Centipede 2, which features—among other things—a baby being born inside a car and immediately crushed against a gas pedal by its mother’s foot, the aforementioned graphic rape sequence, the most brutal tooth-destruction scene ever caught on camera (OldBoy who?), knee-tendons being slashed willy-nilly, and the creative application of a staplegun. The first Centipede didn’t show us how the Centipede was created (not onscreen, not during the “surgery”), but Centipede 2 will give you all of that and more.

And that, my friends, is the reason that The Human Centipede 2 exists. It’s not that it “doesn’t have a plot” or that it “has no point”: it’s that the point of the whole thing is to rub your face in the graphic violence that some people claimed they wanted in the first Centipede. It challenges the fans of the first film to stick up for it while giving the people who complained about the first film’s lack of gore precisely what they thought they wanted (and gives them so much of it, they couldn’t possibly walk away pleased).

Now, I don’t know if Tom Six is clever enough to have responded to critics of the first film by giving them exactly what they claimed they wanted (it’s entirely possible that he simply tried to outdo himself here), but—judging by the quality of the first film—I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Tom Six has delivered something truly disturbing here, something completely amoral, something that people are going to talk about for a long time. I can’t tell you that The Human Centipede 2 is a “good” movie, but I will begrudgingly

Bloody Disgusting Horror - "The Human Centipede Part 2 (Full Sequence) (limited)" Movie Info, Review, Headlines, Gallery

Don't get me wrong; it's a truly disturbing and disgusting film. But it's so insanely excessive that it's straight up funny. There's literally a scene where Martin gives all of the specimens laxatives, which pays off in a hilariously orchestrated muddy mess all over the warehouse. Six literally builds up the insanity in an obvious attempt to piss viewers off. You can just imagine him kicking dirt at the audience and screaming, "You thought that was offensive? Check THIS out. Go ahead and complain about THIS…"

Look, I completely understand everyone's hatred for Human Centipede 2. It's an extremely malicious film where Six spends the duration proving his point instead of telling an engaging story. But to his point, who gives a *****? It's art, it's his movie and it's his statement; at least he's actually saying something. He doesn't have to make a movie FOR you, nor does he owe it to anybody to do so.

Human Centipede 2 is a brilliant response to critics of his first film. It makes a strong statement that it's just a movie and that people take his work way too seriously, while also implementing a unique concept. I found it an intensely engaging and absolutely hilarious meta experience that gets its point across with flying colors (in black-and-white, nonetheless). Still, Six's screenplay does lack serious depth and is pretty *****ing mean-spirited. If anything, Human Centipede 2 beats a dead horse to no end – but at least that was Tom Six's intention.
It may seem I am only posting positive reviews, well, that is the case. Too easy to find negative ones(throw an internet stone and you can hit one).

Reviews: Fantastic Fest 2011: HUMAN CENTIPEDE 2: FULL SEQUENCE

Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence is everything that the first film wasn't. It is graphic, it is dark, and it is at times hard to watch. It is also a very interesting take on fandom, and a response to those fans who complained that the first film used insinuation where it could have used gore. Part two is still a little bit slow, but it does up the ante on the nastiness and comes out as a much darker, much less amusing experience. However, fans of torture porn can rejoice, as this film does set a new bar while retaining a bit of the fun of a good old fashioned slasher.
I cannot wait to see this!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review: Too Meta ‘Human Centipede Part 2’ Almost Reaches The All-Time Gross-Out Pantheon > The Playlist

‘Full Sequence’ falls behind its predecessor because it cannot deliver on its fairly ambitious scope. It wants to be captivating, visually-arresting shock horror (success!) but it also tries to point fingers, the only problem with that being that there are too many fingers, and they’re all going in opposite directions. Six isn’t out there making “Saw” films, but it’s tough to avoid questioning his integrity when he clearly engineered this film to be a totem to his own success. It’s a matter of confidence: when characters are slashing open arteries, Six has it in spades. Beyond that, ‘Full Sequence’ feels like a satirical answer to a question that no one has posed. [C+]
Some stills in the link there, too. GODDAMMIT, I AM EXCITED TO SEE THIS.

Fantastic Fest 2011: HUMAN CENTIPEDE 2: FULL SEQUENCE movie review

o, while there's no shortage of water-cooler moments for geeks who want to validate their ability to sit through anything without vomiting, in the end it comes down to whether or not you want to sit through another person's therapy. And maybe even whether or not you need some yourself. Now that I've seen "Centipede 2", I know I could sure use some.

Fantastic Fest: The Human Centipede 2 Premiere Claims A Victim | Movieline

Somewhere toward the end of The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence), Tom Six’s follow-up to the notorious 2010 dare of a horror film The Human Centipede (First Sequence) — after the sequel’s new villain had performed makeshift “surgery” on his twelve victims but before the film’s gruesome, stomach-churning denouement — the woman sitting next to me fell ill and fainted. She came to minutes later, she told me as we waited for medics, only to be greeted by a wall of disorienting, horrifying sounds, a cacophony of screams and even worse noises, accompanied by some of the vilest images ever captured on film. Needless to say, it was agony to live through. But, she said with a brave smile, it reminded her that she was human after all.
Well, what if it turns someone’s own body against them — is that a measure of success? To some degree, yes; it’s designed to turn the tables on its own gore-hungry fans by depicting a fictionalized version of one of their own so revolting they think twice about their twisted tendencies. But it’s so indulgently perverse, and so viscerally disturbing to watch — not to mention a painfully vain exercise in self-worship — that the lesson is incredibly hard-won. Take a word of warning, if you’re on the fence; you don’t have to see The Human Centipede II to know you don’t want to see it.
