Incubus - Adolescents I've not been a huge fan of Incubus post-S.C.I.E.N.C.E.
But I think their new song "Adolescents" is amazing.
Most Incubus fans hate it, and it has not been received well by many.
I don't know how you can deny the melody and vocal brilliance of this song.

I think their big problem is that there were three distinct sounds they had on each of their first three albums. Since Morning View however, it's been the same songs written again and again. They haven't grown much in my eyes. It's ok to find the sound you want. . .but it's more than that. It's the same songs now. Too bad. I liked them quite a bit.
You hit the nail on the head Smythe. They have long been one if my favorite bands. Seen them many times in concert.
My problem with them is that after Make Yourself they went towards the radio friendly songs. I don't blame them though. It is a business and they're ultimately in it to make money. S.C.I.E.N.C.E. was hands down their best album. The perfect mix of their old funky stuff and the radio friendly. I will always buy their new albums and enjoy them but I live the older stuff.
I also like that their catalog is pretty vast now and their concerts are never the same. I've heard them open shows with Pardon Me. Quick you usually don't hear a band open with arguably their biggest song.
As long as they play a few of their older sings like A Certain Shade if Green etc I'm happy. And Pistola is an amazing sing. Eizinger's (sp? ) solo in that song is sick.
And they always have great bands opening for them. I saw Sparta open for them at The Forum once. If you don't know Sparta, I suggest you buy their stuff.
